As a first year staff, you will be given assignments that will expose you to many different areas within the accounting realm. You will be responsible for preparing individual and corporate tax returns, compilations, and other various client projects. In addition to these areas, you will also perform audit and review services for our clients. While completing these assignments, you will become familiar with the tax law, accounting pronouncements, and auditing standards.
Jackson, Rolfes, Spurgeon & Co. encourages continuing education. The firm participates in programs to educate and inform the staff on current standards and issues. The collection of IGAF Worldwide staff training courses is one example of these programs. The courses include topics such as; audit objectives, work paper studies, tax recognition and research techniques.
